YouTuber and social media influencer Ashish Chanchlani recently shared a picture of himself at the gym on Friday, revealing that he had been indulging in 'stress eating' for a while.
The picture, posted on March 21, shows Ashish smiling for the camera and proudly showcasing his transformation. This post appears to be a throwback, and alongside his gym picture, he addressed the stress eating he had been dealing with, mentioning the recent controversies he has been caught up in.
In his caption, Ashish wrote, "Kaafi stress eating ho gayi bhai. Batao ab kab aaye wapis?" (A lot of stress eating happened, bro. Tell me, when are you coming back?).
The post comes amidst the backlash surrounding the controversial episode of India's Got Latent, a show where Ashish appeared alongside content creator Apoorva Mukhija. The episode has since been removed from YouTube after podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia made offensive remarks, leading to widespread outrage.
In addition to this controversy, Ashish has been in the spotlight for his dramatic weight-loss transformation, which he is clearly embracing. The stress eating he alluded to is likely linked to the intense period of scrutiny that followed the India’s Got Latent controversy.
Not long after being questioned by the National Commission of Women over the episode, Ashish was spotted at a Holi party with filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor, further drawing public attention to his social circle.
Meanwhile, Samay Raina, who hosts India's Got Latent, has also been affected by the controversy. On Thursday, Samay announced the rescheduling of his India tour, sharing a note on Instagram that read, “Hello guys, I am rescheduling my India tour. You all will get the refunds shortly, see you soon (sic).” The comedian, currently on a tour in Canada, had planned to perform in Delhi and other cities later this month, but those shows are now postponed.
