Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman has recently faced a health scare after suffering from dehydration. The singer received well-wishes from his worldwide fans, and now he has finally addressed the sudden hospitalisation.
In a recent interview with India Today, AR Rahman revealed that it was his own masti (mischief) that led him to the hospital. He said, “I was fasting and had even turned vegetarian. I got a gastric attack and was in the hospital.”
He added, “The next thing I got to know was that they had sent out a press note, and it was all there. It was, however, nice to get so many beautiful messages from people and realise that they do want me to live.”
However, he has also addressed the separation from Saira Banu after being married for 29 years. He says, “It's humanising. You tend to sometimes hate a person who doesn't feel human. I faced my ups and downs, and that's the truth.”

The singer further noted, “Each one of us has a special quality — they are a superhero in their home. But I was made a superhero by my fans. This is why I have named my upcoming tour 'Wonderment', because it's a wonder that I get so much love and blessings from people.”
On the work front, the singer has recently composed music for Vicky Kaushal's blockbuster film, Chhaava. The song was loved by the audience and became a huge hit.
He is now gearing up for his 18-city USA tour, Wonderment. He will start his world tour with an electrifying gig in Mumbai on May 3 at DY Patil Stadium. Dance choreographer Shiamak Davar is also scheduled to join the singer on the stage in Mumbai.
