Apoorva Mukhija on Sudhanshu Pandey's remark: He has abused a lot in the end episodes, 80% of the interviews he talks about me

Fresh out of the reality show The Traitors, content creator and performer Apoorva Mukhija sat down with Moneycontrol for an exclusive chat. She didn’t hold back—sharing everything from the pressure cooker environment of the show to her unexpected growth as a person. Here’s everything she had to say, in her own words:

On how it feels post-show:

“I love it. It’s been honestly the experience of a lifetime. I never in a million years thought that I would do something like this. And I never thought that I would perform so well. And I never thought that I would go in a game where everybody is sort of constantly fighting with each other and come out with amazing friends in my life that I continue to speak to after the show has ended. So it’s been just overall a 10 on 10 experience.”

On Urfi and Nikita winning the show:

“I did a press day four days ago. And I was asked in an interview what’s the most surprising thing about the show. And I said the winners. Where Prime was trying to put twists and turns every two minutes—this was the biggest twist in love.”

On her equation with Urfi and Nikita:

“I think I didn’t talk to Nikita much in the palace because she is a very silent person. I wouldn’t say silent player because she never played. But she existed. And Urfi and I just are two really… I think very strong headed individuals. So we just can never seem to see eye to eye. So we started off as friends. And then we sort of lost that friendship. And I held on to that grudge for the entirety of the show.”

“But I think since we have gotten out, it’s been fine. Like it doesn’t really matter. Real life is not that serious. So I don’t really have a relationship with any of them per se. But I do think that the hate that they are getting is sort of unwarranted. Because whoever wins deserves it. Is it luck? Is it you playing this game? The truth of the fact is that we didn’t get to see the end. And they were there. So there’s no point complaining. There’s no point abusing them. They must have done something right. Can I seem to understand what they did right? No. But I’m sure they did something right.”

On Urfi’s claim that she feared Apoorva wouldn’t let her win:

“I could never win. So I don’t know how he feared. I never had a majority in the house. I never had allies. I had only one ally who was a traitor. Like I thank my stars every day that I didn’t go to the ballet. And I didn’t hold Poorav’s hand and be like Yes, we are both innocent… I am so so so glad that I was at the ballet. Because I would have never listened to anyone’s conversation. And I swear to God, I would have never figured out that Poorav was there.”

On Sudhanshu Pandey’s comments about language and morality:

“Sudhanshu ji has given 8 interviews till now. 80% of that he talks about me. He didn’t talk about me in the whole show. He has also gone on and said there is a difference between men and women. Women are not the same. So why are they abusing? So it does boil down to misogyny somehow. He has also abused a lot in the end episodes.”

“But I get it. If I hadn’t done anything in a game and I would have been such a senior actor and I would have been so disappointed to see myself on screen—that I would have done anything in my power. And the truth is, if he doesn’t talk about me, whose photo will he put in the thumbnail? Whose name will he write in his titles? And about whom will the headline be published?”

“And I have constantly apologized to him on WhatsApp. That I am so sorry you felt this way and everything. And he is like—‘I would love to see you do this to your child. Because my mom is really angry.’ So if you treat your children that way, all the best girly pops.”

“But yeah. I think for the entirety of his life, he will continue to do this. And I don’t appreciate people who do moral policing when I have constantly apologized to both you and Ashish ji. And he knows it.”
