Content creator Apoorva Mukhija, who found herself embroiled in controversy earlier this year due to her appearance on India's Got Latent, is reportedly set to join the cast of Khatron Ke Khiladi 15.
According to a recent report by IWMBuzz, Apoorva has been approached by the makers of the popular reality show hosted by Rohit Shetty. She is said to be in advanced talks with the production team, and if everything goes according to plan, she will be confirmed as one of the contestants for the upcoming season.
This development comes at a time when Apoorva is still facing the legal fallout from an incident involving fellow India’s Got Latent judge Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps.
During an episode of the show, Allahbadia allegedly asked a contestant an inappropriate question regarding body parts and suggested an indecent act in exchange for Rs 2 crore. The controversial moment sparked outrage, particularly when he posed the question: "Would you watch your parents have s*x every day for the rest of your life or join once to stop it forever?"
In the wake of this incident, a police complaint was filed against not only Ranveer and co-judge Samay but also against Apoorva, accusing them of promoting obscene and sexually explicit content on the show. As a result, several episodes of India's Got Latent were removed from YouTube, and Samay was forced to reschedule his India tour.
In response to the controversy, Apoorva Mukhija visited the National Commission for Women (NCW) office, where she issued a written apology. A viral video shared by ANI last month also showed Apoorva leaving Khar police station while avoiding media attention, with her face concealed by a mask. Adding to the intrigue, Apoorva recently deleted all her Instagram posts, despite boasting a follower count of 3 million.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Allahbadia has returned to the public eye, launching a new podcast on his YouTube channel.
