Anupam Kher, one of the finest actors known for his exemplary performance on screen and his infectious humour recently had a not so 'scheduled' day at work and turned his work day into an adventure while shooting for his upcoming film with Prabhas in Hyderabad! And the 70-year-old actor posted a comical video on Saturday letting fans in on his — fittingly wild and wacky — ordeal of trying to get to the set.

The shooting is currently happening in Ramoji Film City and a set has been erected in the premises which is full of trees and resembles nothing less than a jungle. In the reel shared by the actor on Instagram, Kher says that his driver took a wrong turn on the way to the location of the shoot and instead of the main entry point, they entered deep into the dense trees.

Rather than figuring the right path to the entry of the set, Anupam Kher climbed the wall to make sure he reached the set which was just on the other side of the wall.

In the video, he gestures toward a boundary wall and says, smiling, “Aaj mera driver shooting ke liye rasta bhool gaya, jungle mein le aaya. Shooting meri uss taraf hai.” He has laughed out loud at the strange turn of events.

He wrote in the caption, “Iss taraf se uss taraf! Often, having been in the movies for so many years, I have come to my shooting sites in different manners! But today’s was not only special but also laugh-out-loud funny. shooting under hyd for #Prabhas starrer untitled film, when my drifty driver chose to be my co- driver. We entered some sort of jungle or something, then found a dead end. Car couldn’t be reversed! And you’ve got to see what happens next — you can see it here.”

“When the car got stuck and there wasn’t enough room to back up, the film crew worked to help him,” he said. “Ab jo unit ke baaki log hain, mujhe jungle se sidiyon pe chadhake leke jayenge yeh.” Kher said this, as he started making his way through a makeshift path.

The internet was swift to answer the call, with fans flooding the comments section with love and laughter. One user wrote, “This is a sequel to the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai stair scene,” while another said, “From playing old men to doing jungle parkour at 70 —legend stuff, sir!”

Tentatively called Fauji, the film is being directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and stars Anupam Kher and Prabhas in important roles. Plot details are under wraps for now, but Kher’s jungle detour is already the film’s first viral moment.

Like, as always, Anupam Kher shows, there is an ageless spirit — and sometimes an alleged misadventure — lurking behind every veteran of the silver screen.
