Actress Ananya Panday has recently found herself at the centre of dating rumours involving Walker Blanco, a former model who now works at Anant Ambani’s animal shelter, Vantara. The two were first seen together at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding in July, where Ananya introduced Walker as her "partner." In the midst of these rumours, Ananya spoke candidly about her approach to relationships, particularly long-distance ones, and how she feels about giving space to her significant other.
In a recent interview with Filmfare, Ananya was asked how she manages a long-distance relationship, and her response was refreshingly honest. She shared that she believes it's healthy to have space in a relationship, especially when it comes to managing time apart. “I think 45 days not meeting someone is good enough. I don’t think it is too bad. Two months is okay. Actually, distance does make the heart grow fonder,” Ananya said.
While she did not directly confirm or deny her relationship with Blanco, her comments shed light on how she views emotional space in a romantic partnership.
Ananya explained that it is essential for both individuals to maintain their sense of self, even when they are in a relationship. "I think it is quite healthy to have some space," she added, emphasizing the importance of balance in her personal life.
In her conversation with Filmfare, the actress also reflected on her evolution as a partner over time. Ananya confessed that in her earlier relationships, she would often mold herself to her partner's preferences, sometimes at the expense of her own identity. “I would adapt to my partner's interests, even changing my own preferences to align with theirs. I used to spend less time with my friends and make changes in my life, even without them asking,” she shared. However, as she has grown more comfortable with herself, Ananya has learned to maintain her individuality while being in a relationship.

“I feel more authentic now,” said Ananya. “I would rather be true to myself than pretend to be someone I’m not just to keep a relationship going, because I believe that would never work in the long run.” This new sense of self-assurance has helped her create a healthy balance between her personal identity and her relationship.
While Ananya was tight-lipped about her relationship with Blanco, it’s clear that she values emotional independence and mutual respect in any partnership. The actress seems to have found a healthier approach to relationships, one where space and individuality are embraced.
On the professional front, Ananya is keeping busy with multiple projects. She is currently filming the second season of Call Me Bae for Prime Video and has a number of exciting films lined up, including Chand Mera Dil with Lakshya and a project based on the life of C. Sankaran Nair, where she will star alongside Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan.
As Ananya continues to thrive in her career and personal life, her outlook on relationships serves as a reminder that love, like any other aspect of life, requires balance, respect, and authenticity.
