OpenAI’s Studio Ghibli-style AI edits have taken the internet by storm, becoming a widely popular trend. The latest to join the craze is megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who shared his own Ghibli-inspired AI-edited pictures on his blog page.
The legendary actor posted a series of fun edits from his fan meet at his residence, Jalsa, giving fans a unique glimpse of the moment in an artistic, animated style.
Along with these visuals, Amitabh Bachchan reflected on the trend’s growing impact, emphasizing how it has transformed digital communication. He also highlighted the rising influence of reels, which have now become a dominant force in creative expression. The actor shared these insights and images on his blog on March 30, embracing the evolving digital landscape.
Sharing the photos, Big B wrote in the caption, "And Ghibli invades the world in the reality of the realm of communication."
Last week, leading Bollywood studios, including Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films, and Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, embraced the trend by unveiling Ghibli-style posters and images from their films.
Several celebrities from the film and television industries have also jumped on the Ghibli trend, sharing their AI-edited transformations. The list includes stars like Kiara Advani, Rakul Preet Singh, Mouni Roy, Bipasha Basu, Aditi Rao Hydari, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, and Parineeti Chopra, among others.
On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in the Tamil action drama Vettaiyan and the pan-India blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD. Up next, he will be seen in Ribhu Dasgupta’s Section 84.
