Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, 82, has responded to recent chatter about his altered appearance, which many noticed during the ongoing season of Kaun Banega Crorepati 17.

Writing on his personal blog, the veteran actor acknowledged the remarks, attributing the changes to age, and assured fans that he is making efforts to address it.

“The days at the 25th year of KBC continue… some media friends express that my look has changed and that I should rectify it,” Bachchan wrote. “I’m trying to do that to the best I can for my age. Till then, your applause and love keep me going, providing the encouragement I need to continue what I’ve been doing for the past 23 years.”

In another heartfelt post, the Sholay star reflected on one of the most challenging aspects of hosting the quiz show. He described the emotional difficulty of seeing contestants, who arrive with big dreams, leave without winning.

“We sit on the hot seat with contestants who have ambitious hopes. When they cannot make it, it’s the hardest to control the frustration—both theirs and mine,” he shared. “It is emotionally shattering to see their tears when the hooter sounds and their chance is gone. Many sacrifice studies or jobs for this opportunity. Losing is tough, but I remind them that loss is not the end—it’s a learning.”

On the Work Front

Bachchan was last seen in Vettaiyan, TJ Gnanavel’s Tamil-language action drama starring Rajinikanth, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, and Manju Warrier, marking his Tamil debut.

Currently, he continues to host Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 and is gearing up for Ribhu Dasgupta’s Section 84, co-starring Diana Penty and Nimrat Kaur.
