“Deeply saddened by the cowardly terrorist attack in Pahalgam. My heart goes out to the victims and their families. We must stand united against such acts of terror. In the aftermath, Srinagar witnessed heightened security as the bodies of the deceased were brought in for a wreath-laying ceremony at the Police Control Room (PCR). Prime Minister Narendra Modi, cutting short his Saudi trip, returned to India on Wednesday to chair a high-level Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting. The meeting was aimed at evaluating the situation and formulating the government’s response.
