Alia Bhatt and Riddhima Kapoor remember Rishi Kapoor on his 73rd birth anniversary with emotional tribute

Alia shared a very close bond with Rishi Kapoor, even before her marriage to Ranbir Kapoor.

Today, September 4, marks the 73rd birth anniversary of the late Bollywood legend Rishi Kapoor. The day was filled with heartfelt tributes from his loved ones as they remembered him with warmth and fondness.

After Neetu Kapoor shared a funny old skit featuring her husband, her daughter-in-law Alia Bhatt reshared it on her Instagram story, adding an emotional note for Rishi Kapoor, “Always and forever, miss you… Happy Birthday.”

Alia shared a very close bond with Rishi Kapoor, even before her marriage to Ranbir Kapoor. During Rishi’s final years, she became an important support system for the family.

She had flown to New York to be with Ranbir while Rishi underwent cancer treatment, and she stood by the Kapoor family like a pillar in those difficult times.

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Rishi’s daughter, also remembered her father on this special day. Taking to Instagram, she shared a beautiful family photograph with a heartfelt caption, “We celebrate you every day Papa, missed and remembered always. Love you… You are loved, Happy Birthday.” Riddhima, who was extremely close to her father, often shares memories and moments that keep his presence alive for the family and his fans.

On Thursday, Neetu took to Instagram and posted an emotional video clip on Instagram from the event “Khullam Khulla – Live with Rishi Kapoor,” which had featured several of his closest family members and friends, including his brother Randhir Kapoor, son Ranbir Kapoor, daughter Riddhima, sister Reema Jain, filmmaker Ramesh Sippy, and veteran actor Jeetendra.

With the clip, she wrote, “You will always remain in our hearts… happy birthday.”

For those unaware, Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2018. He then received treatment in the United States and came back to India after a year following that. However, even after maintaining a healthy lifestyle, the veteran actor unfortunately passed away in April 2020 in Mumbai after he was admitted due to breathing complaints.
