Akshay Kumar celebrates his 58 birthday with emotional note

Bollywood’s original Khiladi, Akshay Kumar, turned 58 today and marked the occasion not with glitz but with gratitude.

The actor, who’s been entertaining audiences for more than three decades, took to Instagram to pen a long, emotional note thanking fans, colleagues, and everyone who’s been part of his journey.

“Good morning, everyone! 58 years in the making, 34 years in this industry, over 150 films & counting. To everyone that ever believed in me, who bought a ticket, who signed me, produced me, directed me and guided me, this is your journey as much as mine,” he wrote.

Akshay, known for his discipline both on and off screen, said his birthday was dedicated entirely to his supporters. “I’m just here to say an eternal ‘Thank You’ for every kind action, unconditional support, and words of encouragement. I am nothing without you, my Birthday is a dedication to all those that still believe me. Love & Prayers, Your Akshay. Jai Mahakal ,” he added.

He also tipped his hat to film publicist and designer Rahul Nanda for curating a special montage of his career. “Many thanks to the very talented Rahul Nanda for capturing my life’s work for my favourite people on the planet, my Fans,” Akshay wrote.

Akshay's journey from his early 1990s debut to his current status as one of India's highest-paid celebrities has been nothing short of extraordinary. Few fans may know that his very first acting assignment, Deedar, earned him a modest Rs 5,000. Compare that to today, when he commands some of the biggest paycheques in Bollywood.
