Akshay Kumar praises Saif Ali Khan for showing bravery during the stabbing incident: 'He protected his family and hats off to him'

Actor Akshay Kumar recently expressed his admiration for Saif Ali Khan's bravery in protecting his family as he was recently stabbed several times by an intruder at his residence.

During a recent promotional event for his upcoming film Sky Force, Akshay Kumar talked about the stabbing incident involving Saif Ali Khan, expressing relief that the actor was safe.

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was brutally attacked by an intruder at his Bandra residence, where he was stabbed six times in the neck and spine. Following successful surgeries, he is now recovering at Lilavati Hospital. Expressing his admiration, actor Akshay Kumar recently praised Saif for his bravery in protecting his family, a sentiment shared by many in the film industry and beyond, who were left shocked by the incident.

During a recent promotional event for his upcoming film Sky Force, Akshay Kumar talked about the stabbing incident involving Saif Ali Khan, expressing relief that the actor was safe. He conveyed his gratitude, mentioning how reassuring it was to know that Saif was out of danger. "We are happy. The whole industry is happy that he is safe. It was very brave of him that he protected his family and hats off to him," he said.

The actor further stated on a lighthearted note that he did a film with Saif called Main Khiladi Tu Anari, but next time if they do a film together, they will make it Tu Khiladi.

The unfortunate incident took place in the early hours of Thursday, January 16, when Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his residence. He was quickly rushed to Lilavati Hospital, accompanied by his son Taimur and another individual. After undergoing surgery, Saif is now recovering well and is expected to be discharged soon. The incident has shocked many, but it's a relief that the actor is on the road to recovery.

Mumbai police arrested the accused, Mohammed Shariful Islam Shehzad, on Sunday in Thane. The 30-year-old, originally from Bangladesh, had entered India illegally. He is currently in police custody for five days. To gain a clearer understanding of the incident, Mumbai Police plans to recreate the crime scene at Saif Ali Khan's residence with the accused.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar will be next seen alongside debutant Veer Pahariya in Sky Force which will hit the theatres on January 24, 2025. Helmed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur, the film also stars Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur in crucial roles.
