Kesari 2 trailer launch Akshay Kumar

At the trailer launch of his upcoming film Kesari Chapter 2, Akshay Kumar made a major announcement that thrilled fans of historical dramas. He officially confirmed that Kesari 3 is in the works and will be based on the legendary Sikh warrior, Hari Singh Nalwa. The actor revealed, “The third installment will focus on the life of Hari Singh Nalwa, the first commander-in-chief of the Sikh Khalsa Fauj, the army of the Sikh Empire.”

Known for portraying real-life heroes, Akshay Kumar expressed his commitment to portraying history authentically. While speaking about Kesari Chapter 2, he said, “You can watch this film and see how much effort we have put behind this film. We have not tried to portray in false information. Whatever is written in the book, we have tried to show that.”

He also shared insights into the future plans of the Kesari franchise. “Now we are planning for Kesari 3. I think we should discuss it today. We want to make it on Hari Singh Nalwa. We will try to show different stories of Punjab.”

Hari Singh Nalwa was one of the most prominent figures in Sikh history and a key military leader under Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s rule. He served as the Governor of Kashmir, Hazara, and Peshawar, gaining immense recognition for his heroic victories against the Afghans. His military brilliance helped the Sikh Empire in its conquests of Kasur, Sialkot, Attock, Multan, Kashmir, Peshawar, and Jamrud.

The warrior was instrumental in expanding the Sikh Empire beyond the Indus River, extending its frontier all the way to the mouth of the Khyber Pass—an achievement that marked the peak of the empire’s military might.

The movie is inspired by the book The Case That Shook the Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat. Alongside Akshay Kumar, the film stars Ananya Panday and R Madhavan in key roles.

The Kesari series seems to be evolving into a cinematic tribute to historical icons and forgotten heroes, and Kesari 3 promises to shed light on yet another iconic figure from Indian history. With Akshay Kumar leading the charge once again, the film is likely to generate high anticipation and stir patriotic fervor across audiences.
