Aamir Khan dropped out of Ujjwal Nikam's biopic: Reports

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has been in the news for his personal life. However, the actor has recently made headlines for his professional career. The actor was reported to star in Ujjwal Nikam’s biopic.

However, the latest reports have revealed that the actor might not be a part of the film. The actor reportedly rejected the offer after months of being in talks because of the schedule conflict. However, the project is still on.

According to Filmfare, a source has shared, “Aamir was in the reckoning to play Ujjwal Nikam in the biopic. But after a long period of discussion and waiting, he's said no to producer Dinesh Vijan. Not that Aamir didn't like the project or the idea.”

The source added, “It was just a question of finding the time to do something as valuable and serious as this. Aamir and his simply could not cull out the required time to work on this project."

The source further revealed, "Maddock, who are producing this project have now started hunting for a new leading man."

Aamir Khan was reportedly approached for a project in 2023, where he would play a high-profile lawyer inspired by Ujjwal Nikam.

For the unversed, Ujjwal Nikam has been a high-profile lawyer and has worked on some of the historic cases, including the Gulshan Kumar murder case and the 1993 Bombay Blasts case, among others.

However, Aamir Khan has a few exciting projects in his pipeline. He will next star in Lahore 1947 alongside Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta. He is also gearing up for Taare Zameen Par sequel, Sitaare Zameen Par. Besides this, the actor will also star in Rajinikanth’s upcoming action thriller, Coolie.
