He went on to call the project “my life’s most important project,” emphasizing the personal weight he attaches to it.

Aamir admitted that production is still some way off but revealed an encouraging update: “In the next month or two, the initial writing process will start, but it is a time-consuming process.” He was quick to underline the scale of what lies ahead. “Mahabharata is not a film, it is a yagna, so you have to be prepared for that,” he said, choosing a spiritual metaphor to convey both the responsibility and devotion required.

That single word “yagna” summed up Aamir’s vision. This isn’t just another grand cinematic project for him; it’s a cultural undertaking, a test of patience, scale, and reverence.
