The eagerly awaited first trailer and poster for Ella McCay, the upcoming feature film written and directed by Academy Award® and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker James L. Brooks, a Disney Legend, have been formally released by 20th Century Studios India.

With this poignant, character-driven comedy, Brooks, who is renowned for timeless masterpieces like Terms of Endearment and As Good as It Gets, makes a comeback as director.

Ella McCay centres around the journey of an idealistic young woman as she attempts to balance the demands of her career and family life. Described as “a comedy about the people you love and how to survive them,” the film promises a mix of warmth, wit, and relatable chaos that marks Brooks’ signature storytelling style.

Sex Education and Barbie star Emma Mackey leads the outstanding group, which also includes a number of well-known actors like Disney Legend. Ayo Edebiri, Spike Fearn, Rebecca Hall, Julie Kavner, Joey Brooks, Jack Lowden, Kumail Nanjiani, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Becky Ann Baker.

Legendary talents Woody Harrelson and Albert Brooks are also part of the cast, which enhances the already impressive lineup.
