Lok Sabha elections will take place in Telangana on May 13, 2024 and the results will be declared on June 4, 2024, the Election Commission announced at a media briefing on March 16.
In 2019, all 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana voted in a single phase on April 11.

Voting is taking place in Telangana just months after the K Chandrashekar Rao-led BRS suffered a setback in the assembly polls held in December 2023, losing the state to Congress.
Since the formation of the state in 2013, the BRS, which was earlier known as TRS, had dominated the political landscape of the state.

In the previous general election, the state witnessed a keenly contested electoral battle with the BRS winning 9 out of the 17 seats in the state with a vote share of 35%.
Its rival BJP won 4 seats at a vote share of 10.4%. The Congress, which is now the ruling party in the state, had won 3 seats.
There are 17 constituencies in Telangana which go to polls, including Adilabad, Peddapalle, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Zahirabad, Medak, Malkajgiri, Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Chevella, Mahbubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda, Bhongir, Warangal, Mahabubabad, Khammam. Five out of these are reserved for Scheduled Casts/Scheduled Tribes. In 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Telangana recorded a voter turnout of 62.77%, which was below the national average.
