Lok Sabha elections 2024: Comprehensive schedule including voting dates, phases & constituency-wise details

Lok Sabha elections 2024 will take place over seven phases from April 19 to June 1 and the results will be declared on June 4, the Election Commission announced on March 16. The poll panel also announced the schedule for assembly elections in Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, and Odisha along with the dates for the bypolls.

The elections will begin on April 19 followed by subsequent phases on April 26, May 7, May 13, May 20, May 25 and June 1, chief election commissioner Rajiv Kumar said at a press conference.

According to the schedule, as many as 22 states will vote in a single phase while three states - Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal - will see polling in all 7 phases.  The model code of conduct has come into effect with the announcement of the elections.
