BJP is all set to win all the 26 seats in the state of Gujarat according News18 Mega Exit Poll. The BJP-led National Democratic (NDA) is expected to win all the 26 seats in the state. The state witnessed a direct fight between Congress and BJP.

Gujarat, the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, went to the polls in a single phase to elect 26 members of Parliament for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The BJP, under PM Modi's leadership, has achieved consecutive victories in the 2014 and 2019 elections.

Past Elections

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the saffron party won all 26 seats in the state. In the 2014 elections as well, the BJP dominated Gujarat, emerging victorious in all 26 seats.

BJP's Surat victory

This year, voting did not take place in Surat as BJP candidate Mukesh Dalal was declared elected unopposed from the Lok Sabha seat on April 23, 2024. While Congress candidate Nilesh Kumbhani's nomination was rejected by the Election Commission, the other candidates decided to withdraw from the contest.

Key candidates include Union home minister Amit Shah from Gandhinagar, former Gujarat minister Parshottam Rupala from Rajkot, Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya from Porbandar and BJP's Mansukhbhai Vasava facing AAP's Chaitar Vasava in Bharuch.

The opinion polls have predicting a clean sweep for the BJP.
