Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to hold a mega roadshow in the temple town of Ayodhya. Earlier today, he addressed a poll rally in Uttar Pradesh's Etawah, a Samajwadi Party stronghold.

  • After Etawah address, stage set for PM Narendra Modi's grand roadshow in Ayodhya

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to visit the temple town of Ayodhya, first after the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla in the newly constructed Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in January this year.

He will hold a nearly 2-kilometre-long roadshow amid the campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections. Earlier today, he addressed a poll rally in Uttar Pradesh's Etawah, a Samajwadi Party stronghold.

Addressing a public gathering in Etawah, the PM said, "...'Modi rahe na rahe desh hamesha rahega'. What is Congress & SP doing? They are contesting elections for their future and for the future of their children. 'Modi kis ke liye khap raha hai? Maine toh aage piche kuch rakha hi nahin hai. Yogi bhi aise hain aur Modi bhi aise hain'...'Hum khap rahe hain aapke baccho ke liye'..."

  • Sandeshkhali 'mistruth' spread by BJP using money, says Mamata Banerjee

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on May 5 alleged that the "mistruth" about Sandeshkhali was spread by the BJP using money.

Banerjee called upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi to stop "shedding crocodile tears" as the "conspiracy hatched by the saffron party" has come to the fore with the unravelling of a recent sting.

"Did anyone ever imagine that BJP would stoop so low that it would spread canards on Sandeshkhali? Don't dishonour the mothers of West Bengal by leveling such heinous allegations. Don't dare try to disrespect women of the state by offering them money to level false allegations against our party," Banerjee said.

The TMC on Saturday released a video on social media, in which a man, who claimed to be a BJP mandal president in Sandeshkhali, was heard saying that Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, was behind the "whole conspiracy".

  • Priyanka Gandhi to spearhead Congress campaign in Rae Bareli, Amethi

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will lead the Lok Sabha poll campaign in Rae Bareli and Amethi, and camp in these parliamentary constituencies in Uttar Pradesh from Monday to ensure the party's victory in the two high-profile seats, according to sources. Ending days of suspense, the Congress on Friday announced that Rahul Gandhi will contest the Lok Sabha elections from Rae Bareli, the constituency held by his mother Sonia Gandhi for the last two decades, and Kishori Lal Sharma, a close aide of the Gandhi family, will fight from Amethi

Priyanka Gandhi has already taken command of the campaigns and will remain camped in Rae Bareli and Amethi from Monday onwards, till the end of polls. She will campaign aggressively to ensure the victory of her brother Rahul Gandhi and Sharma, sources told PTI.

  • Congress files plaint with EC against BJP chief Nadda and others over alleged MCC violation

The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) on Sunday sought the Election Commission to initiate action against BJP's national president J P Nadda and other senior leaders for allegedly violating the model code of conduct by posting a video on social media intimidating members of SC and ST community not to vote for a particular candidate.

In a complaint to the Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer, the Congress mentioned about a video uploaded on social media platform 'X' by the official account of Karnataka State Bharatiya Janata Party @bjp4karnataka which is operated by Amit Malviya, the head of IT cell on instructions of J P Nadda, BJP National President, B Y Vijayendra, BJP State President and Social Media incharge- Karnataka BJP on May 4 at 5.34 pm.

  • Jagan Mohan Reddy has halted development in Andhra Pradesh, says Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on the campaign trail in Dharmavaram Andhra Pradesh, on May 5, attacked Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), accusing them of encouraging corruption, sand and land mafias and crime in Andhra Pradesh. Shah shared the dias with TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu and Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan.

He added that after the first two phases of the general elections in the country, Narendra Modi has hit a century and was moving forward towards getting over 400 seats.

"Over 50,000 people have gathered here. This shows that the entire Andhra Pradesh is with PM Modi and Chandrababu Naidu. NDA alliance is going to sweep (elections) here. INDI alliance will not even get a single seat in Andhra Pradesh..." observed Shah.
