In 2014, BJP’s Dharambir Singh defeated Indian National Lok Dal’s (INLD) Bahadur Singh and Congress’ Shruti Chaudhry with 39.26 percent votes. Both Congress and INLD got over 26 percent votes in 2014. In 2009, Shruti Chaudhry won the constituency from Congress with 35.03 percent votes.
The Bhiwani Mahendragarh Lok Sabha constituency came into existence in 2008 and covers Mahendragarh district and some areas of Bhiwani district. It has been a stronghold of the BJP since 2014.
