Ahead of the oath taking ceremony of PM designate Narendra Modi, the buzz about NDA allies TDP and JD(U) seeking higher cabinet berths continued.
According to a Times of India report, BJP leadership has asked its NDA partners to 'pare down' their demands to 'reasonable limits'. BJP has also assured that unfulfilled desires may be given due consideration at an appropriate time later, the report added.

Modi is all set to take oath as the prime minister on India for a historic third consecutive term with the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) winning 293 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
None of the crucial ministries, including home, defence, finance and external affairs will be retained by BJP and the saffron party is also likely to keep education, parliamentary affairs, culture and I&B and the post of Lok Sabha speaker, the report further stated.

Who will be picked from the allies?
As per the repprt, TDP (16 MPs) and JD-U (12MPs) have been asked to settle for a Cabinet berth and a junior minister slot. While Shiv Sena (7MPs) and LJP (5MPs) have each been offered a Cabinet berth.
Reportedly, from TDP, Srikakulam MP Ram Mohan Naidu could be a probable candidate for the Cabinet berth.
From JD(U), former president Rajiv Ranjan Singh 'Lallan' and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar's confidant Sanjay Jha are considered favourites for the Cabinet berth.
