AAP’s top leaders, including national convenor and former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Saurabh Bharadwaj and Satyendar Jain, have lost their elections. Kejriwal lost the high-profile New Delhi seat to BJP’s Parvesh Verma by a margin of 4,089 votes. The Bharatiya Janata Party is poised to form a government in Delhi after more than 26 years.

  • Latest update of Mumbai’s underground Metro Line 3 |Aarey JVLR to BKC | Services starts from Oct 6

    Mumbai’s first underground metro’s phase-1 is ready to roll. The 12.69 km stretch of phase-1 from Aarey JVLR to Bandra-Kurla Complex will have ten station. Nine trains comprising eight cars will be pressed into service on this route to run a total of 96 daily trips. One Metro train can ferry 2,500 passengers while the headway between two Metro trains is expected to be 6.40 minutes.The fares will range from Rs 10 to Rs 50 and the commuters will be able to purchase tickets through an app as well as from physical counters.

Israel’s Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, explained that the map was taken down, describing it as a "website editor’s mistake." The map had displayed the state of Israel alongside countries of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. After social media backlash, particularly on the platform 'X', where users flagged the error, Azar responded, "Website editor's mistake. Thank you for noticing. Was taken down." India consistently asserts that Jammu and Kashmir is an inseparable part of the country. This "map fiasco" occurred while Israel is engaged in conflict with Iran’s proxies in the Middle East.

  • Chhattisgarh: 30 Naxalites eliminated in major encounter in Dantewada

    In an anti-Naxalite operation on October 4, at least 30 Naxalites were killed in an encounter with security forces along the Dantewada-Narayanpur border in Chhattisgarh. The gunfight occurred in the Abhujmaad forest, and senior Naxal cadres are believed to be among the dead. A large cache of weapons, including an AK-47 and an SLR, was recovered. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai praised the operation, stating that Naxalism is nearing its end. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has set March 2026 as the target to eliminate Naxalism. So far, 185 Naxalites have been killed this year.
