The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to have a greater representation in the new Bihar government even as Janata Dal (United) leader Nitish Kumar will remain chief minister.

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is likely to hold its swearing-in ceremony on November 20 in Patna's Gandhi Maidan, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other NDA leaders are expected to attend the event, according to News18.

Earlier, multiple outlets had reported that the NDA government is likely to take oath either on November 19 or November 20, depending upon a go-ahead from the Prime Minister's Office regarding the PM's schedule.

Nitish Kumar is likely to as the chief minister for a record 10th time will be a grand show matching the scale of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA)’s landslide victory, a leader of his Janata Dal (United) or JD(U) said on Sunday.

The same leader said the Election Commission will submit the list of the newly-elected assembly members to the governor by Sunday evening. “That is the first step. The last Cabinet meeting of the present government will be held on Monday...Nitish Kumar will then meet the governor to tender his resignation, after which the process for the new government formation will get underway.”
