The Madhubani Assembly constituency in Bihar’s Madhubani district is gearing up for a crucial contest in the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. Bihar's Madhubani is expected to see a tight triangular contest this year, with the RJD banking on its incumbent advantage, the NDA counting on alliance arithmetic, and the Jan Suraaj Party trying to tap into anti-incumbency votes.

Local issues such as flood management, job creation, infrastructure, and education remain key voter concerns in this north Bihar constituency.

In the 2020 Assembly election, Samir Kumar Mahaseth of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) defeated Suman Kumar Mahaseth of the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) by a margin of 6,814 votes.

Muslim voters make up 22.6%, Scheduled Caste voters account for 13.16%, and rural voters dominate with 91.9%, while urban voters constitute only 18.1% of the electorate.

In the 2020 Assembly elections, Madhubani had a total of 3,46,962 registered voters, which increased to 3,54,315 in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The number is expected to rise further once the 2025 voter list is published.
