The results of the WBJEE 2025 entrance exam have been delayed again, this time due to a Calcutta High Court order. The court has told the exam board to create a new merit list with specific reservation rules.

To make the new list, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has asked all SC, ST, and OBC candidates to upload their caste certificates to its official website, wbjeeb.nic.in. The upload window is open until 11:59 PM on August 21.

This is the latest hurdle in a series of delays. The board had previously promised results by August 7, but that deadline was missed.

The court's order came after it started contempt proceedings against the state. The judge directed the board to prepare a fresh merit list that includes a 7% reservation for 66 categories of OBC candidates based on an older state policy.

The ongoing delay has sparked protests. The student wing ABVP demonstrated outside the state Education Department on Monday. Meanwhile, senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari has threatened to start statewide protests next week if the results are not declared soon.

Candidates are advised to check the WBJEEB website for official updates.
