The Staff Selection Commission is scheduled to close down the online application process for the Constable (General Duty) Recruitment 2024 today, October 14. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their online applications through the Staff Selection Commission's (SSC) official website, ssc.gov.in.

This recruitment drive offers a chance to join the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), Assam Rifles, and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

Vacancy Details

A total of 39,481 vacancies are available under SSC GD 2025, distributed amongst the following forces:

• Border Security Force (BSF): 15,654 vacancies
• Central Industrial Security Force (CISF): 7,145 vacancies
• Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): 11,541 vacancies
• Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB): 819 vacancies
• Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP): 3,017 vacancies
• Assam Rifles (AR): 1,248 vacancies
• Secretariat Security Force (SSF): 35 vacancies
• Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB): 22 vacancies

To be eligible for these exciting positions, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Passed Class 10/Matriculation exam on or before January 1st, 2025
• Age between 18 and 23 years as of the cut-off date

The selection process for SSC GD 2025 is multi-stage:

Computer-Based Examination (CBE): This objective-type online test will have 80 questions, each carrying 2 marks, and will be conducted for a duration of 60 minutes. The exam will be available in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates who qualify in the CBE will be called for physical tests.

Medical Examination and Document Verification: Successful candidates from the physical tests will undergo a medical examination and document verification.

Application Fee

The application fee for SSC GD 2025 is Rs. 100. However, there's no fee for women, SC/ST candidates, and ex-servicemen eligible for reservation.
