The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) recently declared the SSC CGL 2024 final results, declaring 18,174 candidates qualified for the Tier 2 exam held in January 2024. However, the release of the results has sparked controversy, with aspirants raising concerns over alleged discrepancies in the normalisation process and demanding the immediate release of the SSC CGL 2024 final answer key.
Candidates have taken to social media to voice their grievances, alleging irregularities in the normalisation method used to calculate the final scores. Many aspirants claim that candidates with significantly low raw marks have received disproportionately higher scores after normalisation, while others saw no increase in their marks. This has led to widespread calls for transparency and accountability from the SSC.
One X user, KanpurWala Vikrant posted, "There is a lot of error in SSC CGL 2024 final result, no one knows whose marks are higher due to normalization, why has SSC not released the marks till now?"
The normalisation process is designed to account for variations in difficulty levels across different exam shifts. However, aspirants argue that the method lacks transparency and has led to unfair outcomes. Many have questioned why the SSC has not released the final answer key and detailed marks, which are crucial for candidates to verify their scores.
"Raw marks were too low but after normalisation, their score became dramatically higher. Our demand is that SSC should release the final answer key and marks as soon as possible," highlighted another X user, Shraddha.
Aspirants are demanding that the SSC take immediate action to address the alleged errors and ensure a fair selection process.
The SSC has yet to respond to the growing demands for the release of the final answer key and a detailed explanation of the normalisation process.
