The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced a major update regarding the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) 2025, which has been postponed due to operational and technical evaluations. Originally scheduled to begin on August 13, the exam will now commence in the first week of September 2025.
The decision comes after SSC conducted the Selection Posts/Phase XIII Exams 2025 from 24th July to 1st August 2025, followed by additional shifts on 2nd August. During these exams, technical disruptions affected some candidates, prompting the commission to reschedule tests for impacted applicants.
After analyzing exam logs, SSC identified around 55,000 candidates whose test data had inconsistencies. To ensure fairness, these candidates will get another opportunity to retake the test on 29th August 2025. Their previous attempts will not be considered, and fresh admit cards will be available from 26th August.
What does this mean for CGL Aspirants?
Revised Exam Schedule – The SSC CGL 2025 Tier-I exam, initially set for 13th August, is now postponed to the first week of September 2025. A detailed schedule will be released soon on the official SSC website.
One-Time Registration (OTR) Edit Window – Candidates can edit their OTR details from 14th to 31st August 2025. This is crucial for future applications, as no further edits will be allowed afterward.
Enhanced Exam Security – SSC has introduced Aadhaar-based authentication to prevent impersonation, a measure that will continue in upcoming exams.
