The Rashtriya Military Schools (RMS) have officially announced the results for the Common Entrance Test (CET) for the academic year 2026–27. Candidates who appeared for the Class VI and Class IX entrance exams can now check their results and download their electronic call letters for the upcoming interview stage from the official admission portal.

The admission journey began with the written examination, conducted nationwide on 07 December 2025. Following the test, provisional answer keys were released on 11 December 2025, allowing candidates a window until 17 December 2025 to submit any objections. After a thorough review and finalization process, the RMS administration has now declared the results and category-specific cut-off marks, paving the way for the final selection phase.

RMS 2026 Cut-Off Marks: Category-Wise Breakdown

The cut-off marks for RMS 2026 admissions reveal a competitive landscape, with variations across categories and gender.

For Class VI Admissions:

  • JCOs & OR (General): Boys - 129, Girls - 132
  • Civilians (General): Boys & Girls - 138
  • SC/ST Categories: Significantly lower cut-offs, indicating reserved seat provisions.
  • Killed in Action (KIA): Special consideration with cut-offs at 84 for boys and 90 for girls.

For Class IX Admissions:

The cut-offs are generally higher, reflecting the advanced syllabus.

  • Civilians (General): Boys - 167, Girls - 173
  • JCOs & OR (General): Boys - 149, Girls - 155
  • Not Applicable (NA) Seats: Notably, for girls in SC and ST categories under Officers and Civilians, seats are marked 'NA' due to no available vacancies for the current session.

As per the provisional vacancy list for the 2026–27 session, a total of 507 seats are available across all Rashtriya Military Schools. This includes 358 seats for Class VI and 149 seats for Class IX. It is important to note that vacancies under the Killed in Action category are additional to this total.
