NTA Announces APAAR ID Integration for NEET UG 2025 Registration Process

The Department of Higher Education, under the Ministry of Education, has introduced significant updates for the NEET (UG)-2025 registration process. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the integration of the APAAR ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) with the registration and examination process. This initiative aims to simplify and streamline the application experience for candidates while ensuring secure and accurate identification using Aadhaar authentication.

Importance of Aadhaar for NEET (UG)-2025

Aadhaar-based authentication is now a key part of the NEET UG 2025 registration process. It offers several benefits, including:

1. Simplified Application Process: Aadhaar helps in automatically populating candidate details, reducing manual errors and saving time during registration.
2. Enhanced Efficiency: Authorities can use Aadhaar to verify candidates’ identities more accurately and quickly.
3. Faster Attendance Verification: Aadhaar-linked verification expedites the attendance process at exam centres, ensuring smooth and efficient entry.
4. Prevention of Fraud: Aadhaar ensures unique identification of candidates, safeguarding their interests and preventing identity-related fraud.

• Update Aadhaar Details: Verify that the details in Aadhaar, such as name and date of birth, match the information on their 10th-grade certificate.
• Link Aadhaar to Mobile Number: Ensure that their Aadhaar is linked to a valid mobile number for OTP-based authentication during registration and exams.
• Utilise Facial Recognition: Candidates can now use UIDAI’s Face Authentication feature for faster and more accurate identity verification at examination centres.

The integration of APAAR ID with Aadhaar enhances the efficiency, security, and transparency of the NEET UG 2025 process.
