NCERT books for classes 3, 6 based on new syllabus will be available in April, May

About 33 lakh books of classes 1, 2, 7, 8, 10 and 12 have been printed and delivered to bookshops.

Meanwhile, books for classes 4, 5, 9 and 11 will be available in the market in April.

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) said textbooks based on the new syllabus for classes 3 and 6 will be published in April and May respectively. The council also requested parents and students to not panic.

Further, it was also informed that about 33 lakh books of classes 1, 2, 7, 8, 10 and 12 have been printed and delivered to bookshops. Meanwhile, books for classes 4, 5, 9 and 11 will be available in the market in April.

“NCERT is making every effort to provide school books on time. About 33 lakh books of classes 1, 2, 7, 8, 10 and 12 have been printed and delivered to bookshops. The new syllabus books for classes 3 and 6 will be published in April and May respectively. Books for classes 4, 5, 9 and 11 will be available in the market in the month of April. All students and parents are requested to be patient and not get worried,” NCERT said on X, formerly Twitter.

The announcement comes in line with the official circular by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) which directed all schools to follow these new syllabi and textbooks for classes 3 and 6 in place of textbooks published by NCERT till the year 2023.
