The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will close the registration window for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 today, February 27. Candidates who have not yet submitted their forms must complete the process immediately via the official portal at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

While the registration interface closes today, the KEA has provided a short grace period for fee payment. Candidates who have already filled out their applications can submit their examination fees until March 3, 2026, without any late penalties.

It is important to note that this window is strictly for editing existing applications. The KEA has clarified that no new applications will be accepted once the portal closes on February 27. Therefore, candidates are advised to review their entries carefully before the correction facility closes on March 30, 2026.

The Karnataka Examinations Authority has issued a specific reminder for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category. Applicants must ensure they possess a valid caste certificate obtained from the concerned Tahsildar, which includes the specific internal reservation details (Category A, Category B, or Category C).

While filling out the KCET 2026 application, these candidates are required to enter the RD number (Revenue Department number) from their caste certificate. Failure to provide accurate details may lead to discrepancies during the document verification process.

How to complete KCET 2026 Registration?

For those who have yet to register or need to access the correction portal, follow these simple steps:

Step 1. Go to the official KEA website: cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

Step 2. On the homepage, locate and click on the active "UGCET 2026" link.

Step 3. To register, click on the "Online Application" link and fill in the required basic details.

Step 4. Log in using your credentials to fill out the academic details, personal information, and choice of exam center.

Step 5. Upload scanned images of your photograph and signature as per the specifications.

Step 6. Pay the application fee online (payment available until March 3).

Step 7. After payment, click the final "Submit" button and download the confirmation page.

Step 8. Print a hard copy of the application for future reference.

Exam Schedule and Admit Cards

The KCET 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on April 23 and 24, 2026. The examination will be held in two shifts daily: the first session from 10:30 AM to 11:50 AM and the second from 2:30 PM to 3:50 PM.

Candidates can expect to download their hall tickets from the official KEA website starting April 10, 2026.
