Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) will close the registration window for admission to the 2025–26 academic session tomorrow, April 10, 2025. The online application process began on March 5, 2025. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility requirements must complete their registration on the official portal admission.jmi.ac.in, before the deadline.

According to the university’s official notification, applicants should check their eligibility before applying. JMI accepts qualifications from all recognised central and state universities, institutes of national importance, and foreign universities, as long as the equivalence is confirmed by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

How to Apply for JMI Admission 2025
  1. Go to the official admission portal: admission.jmi.ac.in
  2. Click on the registration link and fill in basic details
  3. Submit the registration form
  4. Log in using the credentials sent to your registered email or mobile number
  5. Complete the full application form
  6. Upload required documents and pay the application fee
  7. Submit the form and download a copy for future reference
Important Dates
  • Last date to submit application: April 10, 2025
  • Form correction window: April 12 to April 14, 2025
  • Admit card release (JMI entrance exams): From April 17, 2025
  • Entrance exams conducted by JMI: From April 26, 2025
  • Last date to submit qualifying exam results: October 31, 2025

JMI offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. At the undergraduate level, courses like B.A. (Hons) English, BFA (Applied Art), and BPT are among the most sought after. For postgraduate admissions, M.A. (Sociology), M.Sc (Biotechnology), and MBA (Pharmaceutical Management) are commonly chosen.

The university’s prospectus contains full details of all available courses, along with specific eligibility and admission criteria.

Candidates should carefully check the instructions on the portal before submitting their forms. After submission, it is recommended to keep a printed or digital copy of the completed application for future use. Any corrections, if needed, can be made during the correction window between April 12 and April 14.

Applicants should also monitor the admission portal regularly for updates, including changes to the exam schedule or additional announcements from the university.
