JAP 2026: The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) Kashipur, Raipur, Ranchi, and Tiruchirappalli have jointly announced the launch of the Joint Admission Process (JAP) 2026 for MBA admissions. This initiative is aimed at simplifying the application process for candidates seeking admission to these four IIMs.
IIM Raipur will act as the coordinating institute for JAP 2026. It will oversee the entire admission process on behalf of the participating IIMs. The joint process allows candidates to apply to all four institutes through a single application window, reducing the need for multiple submissions and separate procedures.
Candidates who appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 will be eligible to participate in JAP 2026. Once the CAT results are declared, applicants can be considered for admission to any of the four IIMs under this unified system.
Speaking on the announcement, Professor Sanjeev Prashar, Director-In-Charge of IIM Raipur, said that JAP 2026 represents a collaborative effort to optimise resources and offer a student focused admission process. He added that the initiative supports the broader goal of strengthening the IIM brand and maintaining consistent standards across institutions.
The joint process is expected to make the admission experience more transparent and accessible for MBA aspirants. It also reflects a shared commitment among the participating IIMs to work together in delivering a streamlined and efficient system.
In a related development, IIM Bangalore has been ranked as the top Indian institute in the Financial Times (FT) Master’s in Management 2025 rankings, securing the 28th position globally. This places it ahead of IIM Ahmedabad, which continues to hold the top spot in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025 rankings for management education in India.
