Understanding the Grading System

For the 2026 cycle, the JAC has utilized a five-point grading system to evaluate student performance. Instead of just raw marks, students will receive grades based on their score range :

  • A+ (Excellent): 80% and above
  • A (Very Good): 60% to less than 80%
  • B (Good): 45% to less than 60%
  • C (Average): 33% to less than 45%
  • D (Marginal/Fail): Below 33%

It is important to note that students must secure at least a ‘C’ grade or higher to be considered as passed in the JAC 11th examinations.

What to Do After the Results?

With the results now out, students are advised to verify all personal details printed on the provisional marksheet. In case of any discrepancy, they should contact their respective schools immediately.

Furthermore, the marks obtained in Class 11 play an important role in internal assessments and stream selection for the final year of higher secondary education. Students are encouraged to collect their original migration and character certificates from their respective institutions once they are officially issued by the board.
