Understanding the Scorecard and Passing Criteria

The digitally downloadable scorecard is a vital document containing essential details: Candidate's Name, Roll Number, Registration Number, list of subjects appeared for, marks secured in each paper, and the final qualifying status. As per ICMAI guidelines, this result holds lifetime validity.

To successfully clear a group, candidates must satisfy a dual marking scheme:

  • Secure a minimum of 40% marks in each individual paper within the group.
  • Achieve an aggregate of 50% or more across all papers in that group.

Post-Result Formalities: Verification of Marks

Candidates who wish to get their answer scripts re-evaluated can apply for a verification of marks. The institute permits applications within 30 days from the result declaration date, subject to a prescribed fee. A key provision states that if the verification leads to an increase in the candidate's marks, the entire fee will be refunded.

Students who have passed are advised to check the ICMAI website regularly for updates regarding membership enrollment procedures, practical training requirements, and other post-qualification formalities.

For the latest official notifications and detailed information, candidates should exclusively refer to the Institute of Cost Accountants of India's website: https://icmai.in.
