GATE 2026 Registration: Last Date With Late Fee Extended, check details here

GATE 2026 registration deadline has been extended with late fees till October 13. Candidates can apply through the GOAPS 2026 portal before the correction window opens on November 6.

The registration deadline for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 has been extended with a late fee option. Candidates who have not yet applied can now complete the registration process until October 13, 2025, through the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS 2026).

The GATE 2026 registration process is entirely online. Candidates are advised to ensure that all the details entered in the application form are correct and complete. Once submitted, they can check their application status by logging in using their enrolment ID and password on the GOAPS portal.

How to Apply for GATE 2026 with Late Fee

Candidates who wish to fill out the GATE 2026 application form during the extended timeline can follow the steps below:

  1. Visit the official GATE website and click on the application form link.
  2. Register and fill in the required details accurately.
  3. Upload the necessary documents as per the prescribed format.
  4. Pay the registration fee and confirm the declaration statement.
  5. Submit the form and take a printout for future use.

GATE 2026 Late Fee Details

Candidates applying during the extended period will have to pay a late fee. The revised fee structure is as follows:

  • Female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates: Rs 1500
  • All other candidates: Rs 2500

Applicants should retain a copy of the payment receipt for reference. After the registration window closes, the GATE 2026 correction facility will be available for candidates to make necessary changes. The last date to make corrections in the form is November 6, 2025.

GATE 2026 Exam Schedule

The GATE 2026 exam will be conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, in two shifts each day. The admit cards will be released on January 2, 2026, and can be downloaded from the official website using the enrolment ID and password.
