CLAT UG Result 2025 Dispute: Petitioner plans to move case to Supreme Court

Aditya Singh, a candidate challenging the results of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 for undergraduate admissions, informed the Delhi High Court on Tuesday of his intention to approach the Supreme Court to seek a transfer of the case, reported Bar and Bench. He cited similar disputes pending before other High Courts and expressed the need to consolidate all such matters under the Supreme Court’s jurisdiction.

The Delhi High Court, presided over by Acting Chief Justice Vibhu Bakhru and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela, granted an adjournment and scheduled the next hearing for January 30.

On December 20, Justice Jyoti Singh of the Delhi High Court had partially upheld Aditya Singh’s plea regarding alleged errors in the CLAT 2025 exam. The single-judge found clear mistakes in two of the five disputed questions and directed the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) to revise the results accordingly.

Both the NLU Consortium and Aditya Singh appealed the ruling. The NLU Consortium argued that the court overstepped its authority by interfering with answers finalized by subject matter experts. Meanwhile, Singh contended that the judgment failed to address all the errors he flagged and sought corrections for the remaining three disputed questions.

On December 24, the Division Bench refused to stay the single-judge order, allowing the NLU Consortium to proceed with result revisions as directed.

Separately, the CLAT PG examination is also facing controversy over alleged errors in the answer keys. Disputes concerning the PG exam results are currently being heard in the Madhya Pradesh and Bombay High Courts.
