The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) has started the online application process for the CCAT 2026 examination. The registration window opened on 27 November 2025 and will remain active until 29 December 2025. Candidates who wish to take the admission test for CDAC’s PG Diploma programmes can submit their forms through the official website, cdac.in.
The CCAT is the qualifying examination for admission into CDAC’s postgraduate diploma courses in areas such as computing, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and other technology-focused disciplines. With the registration window now open, the organisation has also shared the key dates leading up to the test. Admit cards will be available for download from 6 January to 10 January 2026. The examination is scheduled to be held across two days, on 10 and 11 January 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
According to the notification, candidates who have completed a graduation degree in Engineering or Technology through the 10+2+4 or 10+3+3 pattern are eligible to apply. Acceptable disciplines include Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering and Instrumentation.
Applicants with MSc or MS degrees in Computer Science, IT or Electronics, completed under the 10+2+3+2 pattern, may also register for the test. CDAC has stated that only online applications will be accepted for CCAT 2026.
Exam Pattern
The CCAT 2026 examination will be conducted as an objective test over two days. Depending on the programme they wish to join, candidates will be required to take either two or three papers. The papers are divided into Section A, Section B and Section C, each lasting one hour.
Each section consists of 50 multiple-choice questions. Every correct answer carries three marks. An incorrect answer results in a deduction of one mark, while unanswered questions carry no marks. Each paper has a maximum score of 150. The test will be held in English.
