The Bihar School Examination Committee (BSEB) is gearing up to conduct the Intermediate Annual Examination, 2025, for over 12.92 lakh students across the state. The exams will be held from February 1st to 15th, 2025, in two shifts at 1,677 centres. A total of 12,92,313 examinees, comprising 6,41,847 girls and 6,50,466 boys, are registered for the exam. In Patna district alone, 75,917 students (37,174 girls and 38,743 boys) will appear at 85 designated centers.
BSEB Chairman, Shri Anand Kishore, has announced a series of measures to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the examination. These include strict adherence to reporting times, with examinees required to arrive one hour before the scheduled exam time. Gates will close half an hour prior to the start of each shift, with entry beginning at 8:30 AM for the first shift (exam at 9:30 AM) and 1:00 PM for the second shift (exam at 2:00 PM).
Direct Link: BSEB Inter Board Exam 2025Security measures are paramount, with all centers mandated to have boundary walls and police deployment at those with temporary boundaries. Section 144 will be enforced within a 200-meter radius of all exam centers, prohibiting unauthorized entry. Two-tier frisking will be implemented – once at the entrance and again by invigilators within the examination room. Invigilators will be required to check 25 examinees each before the start of every shift and submit a declaration confirming the checks.
CCTV cameras will be installed at all centres, and videographers will be deployed at a ratio of one per 500 examinees. Mobile phones will be strictly prohibited inside exam rooms for everyone except the Center Superintendent. Admit cards and attendance sheets will be meticulously matched with examinees' photographs to prevent impersonation.
To ensure preparedness, Center Superintendents will hold a meeting with all invigilators on January 31st, 2025, in the presence of Static Magistrates. All examiners are also required to report to their designated centres on the same day. Calculators, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, and other electronic gadgets are strictly banned inside the examination hall.
The BSEB has established a WhatsApp group and a control room for efficient communication and quick resolution of exam-related issues. The WhatsApp group includes district officials, education officers, nodal officers, and senior BSEB members. The control room, operational from January 31st to February 15th, 2025 (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM), can be reached at 0612-2232257 or 0612-2232227.
Addressing potential issues, the BSEB has outlined procedures for students who lose their admit cards or encounter photo discrepancies. Provisional admission will be granted after verification from scanned photos and roll sheets. For photo errors, students can submit a gazetted officer-attested photocopy of any valid ID (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, or Bank Passbook) for verification by the Center Superintendent.
Other key arrangements include the use of BSEB UNIQUE IDs for each student, question papers in 10 set codes (A-J), and a pattern with 50% objective questions (with 100% additional options) and double the required number of subjective questions. Students will receive 15 minutes extra to read the question paper and related materials, and visually impaired examinees will be provided scribes and compensatory time.
