The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has officially announced the results for the Diploma in Elementary Education Joint Entrance Examination (DElEd JEE) 2025 today, November 26, 2025. The declaration was made by the Board's Chairman, Shri Anand Kishore, paving the way for the next phase of admissions into the 2025-27 academic session.

Candidates who undertook the computer-based test between August 26 and September 27, 2025, can now access their scores and check their qualifying status online. This result is a crucial gateway for securing a seat in the two-year D.El.Ed programme, a mandatory qualification for primary-level teaching positions in the state.

The 2025 DElEd JEE saw an impressive turnout and success rate. Out of the 3,23,313 candidates who appeared for the examination, a total of 2,55,468 have successfully qualified. This translates to a robust overall pass percentage of 79.01%.

A further breakdown reveals that 2,54,443 of the qualified candidates are from Bihar, while 1,025 are from other states. These candidates will now compete for admission into 306 teacher training institutes across Bihar, which include 60 government and 246 private institutions. The total number of available seats stands at 30,800 (9,100 in government and 21,700 in private colleges).

With the results declared, the focus now shifts to the centralised counselling process. The board will activate its online facilitation system to guide successful candidates.

Counselling Registration: The online application for counselling will be open from November 29 to December 5, 2025, via the official website bsebdeled.com. A detailed notification regarding the same will be published on November 28, 2025.

Merit-Based Allocation: Admission will be conducted strictly on a merit-cum-choice basis. The BSEB will prepare a state-level merit list based on the JEE scores.

Seat Allotment Process: As per the guidelines from the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Patna, candidates with the highest marks will be given priority for seats in government institutions, adhering to state reservation rules. Subsequently, admissions to private institutions will be conducted. The entire process will consider the candidate's rank, submitted preferences, and seat availability.

The Bihar DElEd JEE 2025 was a computer-based test (CBT) featuring 120 multiple-choice questions, each carrying one mark. Candidates were given 150 minutes to complete the exam, and there was no negative marking. The minimum qualifying marks were set at 35% for the unreserved category and 30% for reserved categories.
