Rewards for Top Performers

In a bid to encourage academic excellence, the BSEB provides significant rewards to high achievers. Toppers across all streams will be felicitated on Medha Diwas, scheduled for December 3, 2026. The first-rank holder will receive a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh, along with a laptop, a medal, and a certificate of merit. Second-rank holders will be awarded Rs 1.5 lakh, and third-rank holders will receive Rs 1 lakh.

Additionally, students who secure the fourth and fifth ranks will be given Rs 30,000 each. Beyond the one-time cash reward, Class 12 toppers are also eligible for a monthly scholarship of Rs 2,500 throughout their undergraduate studies to support their higher education journey.

Verification and Result Calculation

To ensure transparency and maintain the integrity of the merit list, the BSEB conducted a thorough topper verification process. Students who appeared in the top ranks were called to the Patna headquarters for interviews and assessments before the final results were published.

The board calculated the final marks based on a combination of theory and practical exams, following the division system where students scoring 300 marks or above are placed in the First Division.

Last Year's Toppers

Last year, in 2025, Priya Jaiswal from West Champaran topped the Science stream with an impressive 96.8% (484 marks). In the Commerce stream, Roshani Kumari secured the first position with 95%, while the Arts stream saw a tie for the top rank between Ankita Kumari and Shakib Shah, who scored 94.6%.

Officials advised students to verify their subject-wise marks and total aggregate on the digital marksheet, which will remain valid until the original certificates are distributed by their respective schools.
