The Bihar government has announced a recruitment drive for 231 Assistant Engineers in the Rural Works Department. The positions are contractual, with appointments initially for one year. Interested and eligible candidates are advised to apply online before the deadline of February 3, 2025, at 3:00 PM.

The available positions are for Civil Engineers and are categorized as follows:

• General: 92
• Scheduled Caste: 37
• Scheduled Tribe: 2
• Extremely Backward Class (EBC): 42
• Backward Class: 28
• Backward Class Women: 7
• Backward Class (Other): 23

Applicants must hold a relevant degree or diploma in Civil Engineering. The minimum age requirement is 21 years as of January 1, 2025. The upper age limit will be determined by the State Government's General Administration Department, with age relaxations for reserved categories as per government norms. It's important to note that the honorarium amount is subject to revision.

The selection process will be based on valid GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) scores as of January 1, 2025. There is no application fee for any category.

Step 2. Look for a scrolling notification or link related to the recruitment of 231 Assistant Engineers based on GATE scores.

Step 3. Click on the notification link and download the PDF advertisement to read all the details carefully. Ensure you meet all eligibility criteria.

Step 4. If eligible, return to the application page and click on the registration link.

Step 5. Provide the required information, such as applied for position, title, parent's name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, category, Aadhaar card number, etc. Agree to the terms and conditions.

Step 6. After registration, log in using your user ID and password.

Step 7. Fill out the online application form accurately with all personal and educational details.

Step 8. Upload scanned copies of your passport-size photograph (less than 50 KB), signature (less than 20 KB), birth certificate, educational certificates, experience certificate (if any), mark sheets, caste certificate (if applicable), and other relevant documents in the prescribed format.

Step 9. Carefully review the filled application form before final submission. Click the submit button to complete the application process.

Candidates are advised to apply well in advance of the deadline to avoid any last-minute technical issues.
