In light of the incessant rainfall and the subsequent orange alert declared by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Bengaluru schools will remain closed tomorrow, Wednesday, October 16, 2024.

To ensure the safety of employees during this period of heavy rainfall, companies in Bengaluru have been advised to allow their staff to work from home.

The city has been experiencing persistent downpours since Tuesday morning, leading to waterlogging and traffic congestion in various parts of Bengaluru. While schools and anganwadi centers will be shut, the government colleges in the district will remain open.

Most schools have opted to conduct online classes for higher grades, while lower-grade students have been assigned homework to complete at home.

It is worth noting that Thursday, October 17, is a state government holiday to commemorate Valmiki Jayanti
