The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has announced the schedule for the Group 1 Mains written examinations (Notification No. 12/2023). The exams, conducted in descriptive format, will take place from 3rd May 2025 to 9th May 2025. Additionally, the APPSC will display question papers on tablets (tabs) during the examination. This approach aims to modernise the exam process.
Detailed Exam Schedule
The Group 1 Mains examination will consist of six papers, including two qualifying language papers. Each exam will be held in the morning session from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The detailed schedule is as follows:

The Telugu and English papers are qualifying in nature, and their scores will not contribute to the final merit list. A significant change in this year’s Mains exam is the use of tabs for displaying question papers. Candidates will answer in a traditional descriptive format using pen and paper, but the question papers will only be available on the digital devices provided.
