The Indian Air Force (IAF) has started the AFCAT 2025 registration process today, June 2, 2025. Candidates looking to join the IAF as commissioned officers can now submit their applications via the official website—afcat.cdac.in.

The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2 2025 aims to fill 284 vacancies across various branches, including Flying, Technical, and Ground Duty. The last date to apply is July 1, 2025, and only online applications will be accepted. Interested candidates must complete the registration, fill out the application form, and pay the required fee before the deadline.

How to apply for AFCAT 2025?

Step 1. Visit the official website—afcat.cdac.in.
Step 2. Click on “Candidate Login” and select “Not Yet Registered? Register Here”.
Step 3. Enter the required details (Name, Email, Mobile Number) to generate login credentials.
Step 4: Fill out the AFCAT application form 2025.
Step 5. Fill in personal, educational, and contact details.
Step 6. Upload scanned copies.
Step 7: Submit & download confirmation.
Step 8. Download and print the AFCAT 2025 application form for records.

AFCAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, candidates must ensure they meet the following eligibility conditions:

Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.

Age Limit (As of July 1, 2026)

Flying Branch: 20-24 years

Technical & Ground Duty Branches: 20-26 years

Note: Age relaxations apply for reserved categories as per government norms.

Educational Qualifications

  • Flying Branch: Graduation (min. 60%) with Physics & Mathematics in 10+2.
  • Technical Branch: Engineering degree (min. 60%) in relevant fields.
  • Ground Duty Branches: Varies as per role (Graduation/Post-Graduation required).

AFCAT 2025 Exam Pattern & Selection Process
  • Exam Mode: Online (CBT)
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Sections: General Awareness, Verbal Ability, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, and Military Aptitude.
  • Negative Marking: Yes (1 mark deduction for wrong answers)

Candidates who qualify for the written test will proceed to SSB Interview, Psychological Tests, Medical Examination, and Final Merit List Preparation.
