At least 26 people were killed in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam on Tuesday afternoon after several terrorists opened fire in the valley. They killed several men after allegedly confirming their religious identities.
It is believed that the mastermind behind the attack was top LeT commander Saifullah Sajid Jutt, who is said to be operating from Islamabad. Sketches and pictures of terrorists who carried out the deadly attack were also released by the security agencies on Wednesday.
Among the deceased were two newly-married men and one person who had flown down from the US to be in India.
