‘Jaise aap kiye’: Khan Sir’s witty reply to Tejashwi Yadav’s ‘Byah kab hua?’ goes viral

Popular educator and YouTube sensation Khan Sir, known for his no-frills teaching style and immense student following, held a grand wedding reception in Patna on Monday, marking the first public appearance of his wife, AS Khan. The low-key wedding, kept under wraps until recently, took place during the recent India-Pakistan hostilities, an intentional decision, Khan Sir explained, made out of respect for the sensitive national mood, TOI reported.

The reception, however, was anything but quiet. The who's who of Bihar’s political landscape attended the gathering, including Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav. The highlight of the evening was a light-hearted exchange between Khan Sir and Yadav, captured on video and widely shared on social media.

“Kya hua, byah kab hua?” Yadav asked with a smile.

“Abhi jo India-Pakistan conflict chal raha tha, usi beech,” Khan Sir replied, revealing the timing of his nuptials. He further joked, “Model aap hi ka tha sir...chupchap se karke baad main batana hai. 12-13 log the sir. Jaise aap kiye na, vaise hi. Hum ne socha kahan se copy karenge, aapka hi copy kar liya sir.”

The quip was a nod to Yadav’s own quietly held marriage in the past, drawing laughter and a moment of camaraderie between the two.

Khan Sir, who runs the Khan GS Research Centre in Patna and has millions of followers online, had earlier broken the news to his students during a live class. “Meri shaadi ki tareekh tay ho gayi thi. Isi dauraan Pakistan aur Bharat ke beech yudh shuru ho gaya, jis karan saade tareeke se shaadi ki gayi,” he explained to them. He emphasised that his students were the first to know as, in his words, “my existence is because of you.”

He informed that a special post-wedding feast will be held exclusively for his students on June 6, a gesture that has only deepened the admiration of his loyal following, as per TOI.
