The investigation by Delhi Police into the controversial Delhi godman Chaitanyananda Saraswati, alias Parthasarathy have revealed a series of disturbing and chilling details. From incriminating WhatsApp chats to financial manipulations and witness testimonies, the case has become one of the most closely followed in the capital. Here are 10 chilling details from the case:

Girls for a Dubai Sheikh

Delhi Police discovered conversations where Chaitanyananda allegedly asked a young follower to arrange women for a Dubai Sheikh, repeatedly pressing her and referencing classmates to procure sexual partners. “One Dubai Sheikh wants a sex partner, do you have any nice friend?” he asked.

Sex toys and pornographic CDs

During search operations on Wednesday, the police found sex toys and five CDs containing pornographic content in his Vasant Kunj residence, pointing to compulsive behaviour and evidence of predatory acts.

Morphed photographs with world leaders

Officials have also seized forged photos showing him with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former US President Barack Obama, and a UK leader, believed to have been used for self-promotion and misleading followers about his reach and credibility.

Hidden cameras in girls’ hostel

As per the FIR, the Delhi godman installed numerous CCTV cameras in the girls’ hostel, including near bathrooms, under the pretext of “security.” He monitored the footage on his phone and grilled students about their shower routines and personal relationships.

Obscene questions and sexual remarks

Victims revealed that Chaitanyananda frequently sent late-night WhatsApp messages like “Baby, I love you,” asked invasive questions about their sex lives. He even asked them whether they had sex with boyfriends and if they used condoms.

Manipulated attendance, marks and degrees

According to the FIR, students who resisted were allegedly punished with manipulated attendance, lowered marks, and threatened with withheld degrees unless they complied with his demands. At least one woman was told to pay Rs 15,000 to get back her documents.

Female staff complicit in coercion

The FIR names three female staff, including the associate dean, who allegedly pressured students to comply with Chaitanyananda's demands, forced them to delete evidence, and even made one change her name.

Luxury cars, fake diplomatic number plates

Chaitanyananda used expensive cars, BMW, Volvo with forged “UN” plates, and ferried students under pretexts like industrial visits. The police seized his BMW, worth Rs 1.5 crore, allegedly used to ferry students to Rishikesh under the guise of “industrial visits.” A Volvo with a fake diplomatic plate (“39 UN 1”) was also found in the institute basement.

Financial fraud and multiple bank accounts

After police registered the FIR, he withdrew over Rs 50 lakh from different accounts under aliases. Authorities have frozen Rs 8 crore spread over 18 accounts and discovered widespread forgery and siphoning of trust funds for luxury spending.

Threats and fortress of intimidation

His residence featured a densely surveilled “torture room.” Victims described the difficulty of reaching his room, harassment by associates, and persistent threats to expose or ruin anyone who defied him. One complainant from 2016 said that he confiscated her phone, isolated her in the hostel, and tracked her every move through landline calls and cameras, threatening her with powerful contacts if she disobeyed.
